History of G.A.P.

Steve Mossburg first went to Haiti in 2000 on a short term missions trip with his church. On his return home he promised God to make himself available for future mission work, which was quick in coming. Later that Fall he returned to Haiti for six weeks and in 2001 he made two trips totaling eighteen weeks. When he returned in 2002 it appeared his work might be over. As he questioned his future and sought direction, God led him to John 15:16. That evening Go and Produce Ministries was born and Steve and Shirley Mossburg went on to found John 15:16 G.A.P.

The ministry is located in Montrouis, a seaside town 80 kilometers North of the capital of Port Au Prince. In 2005 the decision was made to partner with another Montrouis mission called "Togetherness In Christ Ministries". That year G.A.P. relocated to the 90 acre compound called Canaan Christian Community.
